How GE Designs Preorders Work (Shipping, Delays & Expectations)

Preorders allow you to secure popular GE Designs items before they arrive. Because many involve fabric production, they follow different timelines than regular in-stock orders. Here’s everything you need to know. 1. What Is a Preorder? A preorder is an item purchased before it is in stock. Preorders are common for: - Fabric-based kits - Retreat boxes - Books and pattern collections - Seasonal boxes (Advent, Holiday, etc.) 2. When Will My Preorder Ship? Every preorder has a ship window listed on the product page. For live timelines: 👉 Preorder & Retreat Status Page 3. Why Ship Dates Sometimes Change Ship windows may shift due to: - Fabric mill delays - Vendor production timing - Freight/labor delays - Large quantities during peak season When this happens, we update: - The product page - The Status Page - Verbally on our Tipsy Tuesday and Happy Friday shows. We prefer transparency — even if dates move. 4. Combined Shipping (Preorder + In-Stock Items) If your order includes both preorder and in-stock items: ✔ Your entire order ships together This prevents double shipping charges and keeps your order consolidated. If you want to get the in-stock item immediately, then ensure you place your orders seperately. 5. Updating Your Shipping Address You can update your address before your label is created. What Are Reservations? How GE Designs Reservations Work

For our biggest launches, like Block of the Months, Retreat Sessions, and special limited-run products, we offer Reservations so customers can secure their spot early. Here’s exactly how Reservations work. 1. What Is a Reservation? A Reservation lets you reserve your place for a high-demand product before it officially releases. Common examples: - Virtual Retreat Sessions - Retreat Boxes - Block of the Month Programs - Special collections with long fabric lead times 2. Why We Use Reservations Some products require us to order fabric months in advance. Reservations help us: - Know how much fabric to buy - Reduce sellouts - Avoid disappointment - Guarantee your spot 3. When Do Reservations Open? We announce reservation openings on: - Tipsy Tuesday - Happy Friday - Newsletter 4. What You Pay at Reservation Time Depending on the product: - Reservations require a deposit - The final charge happens closer to ship date Each product page clearly states which applies. 5. When You Are Fully Charged Full payment is taken when: - The product is ready - Boxes are being assembled - Fabric arrives and production begins You’ll always receive an email notification to come buy the full program. 6.
